FML

Today I ruined a load of wash. Something red bleed all over my clothes and my new FABRIC! I'm so dumb. Luckily most of the wash was dark, but 2 pairs of Kires pants and a shirt are ruined. Also my new fabric that I just got in the mail, now has pink guitars on it. I'm sad. And now I have to get more. FML.
I'm going to make a carseat canopy and some burp cloths out of this.
...now it'll just have to wait a bit.

This little butt-head can usually cheer me up pretty fast.
This morning he pointed to my armpit and said, "beard." I didn't think it was really necessary to shave during the winter.

Splurge-diaper bag

I haven't ever bought a diaper bag. I usually just throw everything in my purse or use the big plastic diaper bag that I got for free.
I haven't ever found one I love. They are usually too big and bulky. But yesterday I found one and had to have it.

Isn't it beautiful.
It has removable straps so I can use it as a backpack when my hands are full.
It doesn't look too much like a diaper bag, so I can use it all the time.
It was the most I ever spent on a purse, so before I bought it I called Erik and asked him to check online and on ebay to make sure I couldn't get it cheaper.
Then my sweet friend Lindsey had a coupon for the boutique we were at, so it was a done deal.

I'm not sure I can wait 4 months to use it. And I'm obsessed with grey lately, can you tell?

Happy birthday to Jackie

For Jack's birthday we went to the Dinosaur Park (it has finally been nice enough to use my family membership that I bought on Groupon a couple of months ago).

Then we had family over for cake and ice cream.
Jack sang happy birthday to himself, it was the highlight of the night.

And he opened presents. I bought Jack a bunch of Duplo legos on ebay. The boys fight over the one guy and one window we had in our other set, so this has been great. Then I bought the boys matching Darth Vader jammies (since they're obsessed with Star Wars) and Jack some flip flops. He has been wanting some "flops" after seeing Kire wear his. He also got a couple of books.
His grandparents of him a bat & tee, a car and track, and a magnet game.
Lucky kid.

Every time Jack gets hurt, he says, "hurt bad." This morning he came in to tattle on Kire and said, "Kyro hit Jackie, hurt bad." He calls Kire, Kyro, and always refers to himself as Jackie. He is the funniest kid I know.

Nursery ideas

I've decided I was more excited with the idea of having a girl, you know, decorating and dressing, than actually being excited about raising a girl.
So, even though I'm having another boy, I've decided I'm going to redu the nursery with some fun, new, modern paint and fabric. And he'll be born in the summer, a different season than the others, so I'll have to buy some new clothes too : )
I've gone to 4 fabric stores this week and haven't found anything, so I started to look online and think I found what I want.
I want grey walls and then I'll accent with mustard and teal.
Maybe this for a valance and crib skirt.

And I'd like to find an old dresser and paint it teal. I'm excited.

Jack's 2!

My sweetest Jack is 2 today.
He has been such a happy, fun baby from the start. He is almost always just happy with life. He follows Kire around and wants to do everything he does.
Right now him and Kire are obsessed with Star Wars. They like to fight each other with Light sabers and Jack says he's Darth Vader.
Every day he has to watch "Spic me." Despicable Me is his favorite movie, he even copies some of the lines.
I've been teaching him to drive our little Hot Wheels Jeep and he is hilarious.
He wants to do everything himself, "Jackie do it self," he says. Unless it's something like picking up toys, then he says, "Mamma do it self."
He still carries that damn purple bird "squeaks" with him everywhere. I need to get rid of it, but it's so dang cute. The bird seriously wreaks, I try to stick it in the wash whenever he's not paying attention.
Sometimes he wants to try and pee in the toilet like his brother. He stands with his little weener hanging over the toilet and says, "PEEEE." He doesn't quite get it yet.
He loves to sing and dance. Rhianna was on TV one day singing "Oh na na, what's my name," and dancing provocatively and Jack now shakes his hips and sings, "oh na na, oh na na." He can also sing age appropriate songs like The itsy bitsy Spider and Twinkle Little Star.

If my next boy is like him, there's a chance I could handle 4 little butt heads.
Today we are going to the Dino Park and having a party, so pictures to come!

Boy #3

I was getting my hopes up for a baby girl, I even named her (Tatum has always been my girls name) but I knew it might be too good to be true. After all, I wanted my first 2 to be boys, I couldn't be so lucky to get what I wanted for the third time in a row.
And today, at 19 weeks, we found out we are having another boy!
I'm trying to stay positive.
* My boys wanted a brother.
* It will save me tons of money on toys and clothes.
* Boys are easier than girls, and less whiny.
* Boys are fun.
That's about all I've come up with. But it's enough. I'm excited for another little butt head to run around.

Maybe the Lord knows something I don't, and maybe I couldn't handle girls. I'm not the most sensitive or emotional person and boys can deal with that.
But I think this is the last baby for me. It's not 100%, and Erik would love to have 4 kids, but I don't know if I could handle more. I already feel like I don't spend enough time with Kire because Jack needs so much attention, and another baby will just make me feel guiltier. I've always thought 3 was a good number, so I hope I feel good about stopping after this little guy.

And I think we'll name him Kael.
