We went to st. george this weekend. Erik was coaching baseball and sunday was my birthday so we decided to make a little trip of it. The weather was beautiful and on sunday we even got to spend some time in the pool. The one downside, my husband didn't get me anything for my birthday, not even a card. I had told him that I had gotten myself a few things (because he has horrible taste and is not allowed to buy me clothes), but this did not mean for him not to get me anything! Just a card and something thoughtful is all I ever ask of, is that too much? So I'm still kind of pissed off at him, but he doesn't know it. I buy my own christmas presents too. I guess I would rather like my presents than be disappointed, but I expect him to put in some effort.
Anyways. But it was nice to get away and take a break from studying. And I got a little sun and got to spend time with my family, even though I hate my husband right now.

Husbands can be so dumb! Trent does really well for Christmas (usually) but sucks at every other special day. He did nothing on our five year anniversary. It's been a year and a half and I still hate to think about it. Sorry he was lame, I hope he'll make it up to you later.
I didn't know it was your birthday...I would have given you a card! Sometimes I think husbands are so dumb. Trent did that same thing to me this year on Valentines Day...no card, no I love you, no happy valentines day. The end. I was pissed too!
Happy Birthday - I have to remind my husband that you HAVE to at least have a card for b-days, valentines and anniversaries. Even if its written on a piece of white paper!! At least you can just buy what you want for yourself, right? It was good to hear from you and it will be fun to hang out in May.

Skye, you crack me up! I agree with you, at least a card probably would have been nice! But at least you got to spend a fun weekend together!
Don't feel too bad. Taylor never gets me anything for my birthday, christmas, valentines, anniversary... its weird. So I have to go buy myself gifts too. Just know there are women in the world who are going through the same thing. Guys are not thoughtful AT ALL :)
I didn't get flowers on Valentines this year (which I usually always do) but did get to go out to dinner (which we never do on V-day). I'm still lamenting the flowers a little.
