I have had the suckiest luck with my mockboards in school. I took my 3rd mockboard today, to prepare me for the clinical board exam I am going to be taking in 3 weeks, and I failed all 3! My board patient was supposed to come in today to be my pt. for my mockboard too, but he got "sick." So he was going to send his brother in his place, but he ended up sending a friend. So I am glad someone showed up, but this guy had never been to the dentist and had horrible periodontal disease (class 4). He had enough calculus so he qualified, but his probe depths were kind of deep. I missed 5 spots and failed, but he was hard and so I can't beat myself up too bad about it. I just hope my guy will show up on the day of the real board, or I will kill him.
And this is a picture of a piece of calculus that I got off of his teeth, it's the size of a tooth!

Holy cow! I can't believe some people let it get that bad. I've seen some peoples gums and it just wanted to make me cry...it looked like it hurt. Good luck on the boards! I am sure you will do well. I love Texas. I miss the snow, but thats what vacations are for I guess. Its always so green here! The one thing I wish we had is more rain...its so dry right now. I went running today and it was like 85 degrees, or at least it felt like it. Where would you like to move to?
That is disgusting!! That's totally fine about Deseret Book last Saturday. There was so many people and we took my grandma with us so we didn't stay long! When are you and Erik going to St. George? Are you leaving on the ninth or is that when you want us to come. Let me know, because that would be a great time for me. We need to plan it asap if we're going then because I need to mark out at the salon. I don't know why I am writing you all this becuase I will probablly just call you tomorrow anyway!!
that is a nasty pic of me! at least you can say he was way to hard and not beat yourself up! i failed on my real board guy...I missed 4 pieces, i was apparently wrong on his occlusion, and i missed some recession! i hate my life! i have no idea if i can do this!
i'm gonna throw up. that is sick. i guess that's why lee's in the dental field and not me. and how did you manage to sneak that pic?
