Birthday wish

My birthday's in March, 2 days after my brother Grady's wedding, so here's a few things I want so everyone can get prepared-no excuses.
They are really for the baby, I have most of what I need, but there are a few things that have come out since Kire was born, or that I just didn't buy last time, that would be so nice.  I will probably end up buying them for myself, but here's a few ideas (hint, hint, Erik).

Baby sling from etsy here
Or if you have bought one and know another site to look at, let me know.

And I think this Sit n stand from baby trend would be the perfect stroller to have with an infant and a toddler.  Does anyone have another suggestion?  At Walmart for $119 or if you see a good deal, keep me posted.

I would also like to invest in a breast pump.  I want to breast feed but also want some freedom when I go out or on days I have to work.  I had a manual one for Kire, but I'd really like a nice one this time around.  I've seen them on ebay, but I don't know if a dare buy one used, but I should still be able to get a good deal on one that's new.  The Medela Pump in Style seems to be the most popular, any advice?

I'm sure I'll think of a few more things I "need" but this gives my family a few ideas ; )

I think if you really want something you have to point it out, especially for men. I tried a baby sling when Blaise was born, I think it was because he was like 15 pounds that I hated it. It really hurt my back. I would get one that makes them upright. I got that exact stroller but from Shopko. Loved it - especially nice when Aspen was a newborn, you can just click it in. But they are way heavy and bulky. I got a Playtex pump for like 100 bucks at Babiesrus and I thought it worked just as good as the way expensive ones. It just takes a little longer cuz you can only do one side at a time. Anyways I am so excited for you! It's a little easier the 2nd kid cuz you kinda know what to expect.

Did you check out our cousin Sonya's site? I'm sure she would give you a rockin' deal. I love the sling I got from her.

ok so totally my opinion but I didn't like the sit and stand so I got the graco two stroller adn have no regrets. Hudson was younger than Kire though he was only 2 1/2 when Ruby was born but he couldn't really sit comfortably on it and he like the option of laying down or sitting. So I say try it out and see if he likes it and feels comfortable. Oh our cousin Matts wife owns a little biz and makes slings i have one and they are so cute the best material. You can go to her site from my blog, its madeline grey designs, check it out. But that one on your blog is so stinkin' cute.

I know I already gave you my thoughts on the stroller and pump but since you put a sling up, I have to comment on that! Alicia bought me one called the moby and it is so comfortable but it is also like 10 feet of material and i had to learn how to wrap it around me and it was like the last thing I wanted to do!!! If you decide to get one get one like the one you have pictured because it is really simple. They are nice to have when you have another child with needs, and to go on walks since he will be born on the spring!
Oh, I read the comments already posted, my suggestion is to invest in a pump where you can do both sides, it is already a pain in the butt to pump and I did the whole one side at a time and obviously it takes twice as long. its an investment and you can always try to sell it when you are done. I wouldn't buy one from someone you don't know, could be scary!

Thanks for all the comments. I love hearing what other people think because there are things I hadn't thought about.

I used a friend's medela pump and loved it. I didn't have to use the actual boob holder thingys that she used because I bought a kit from the hospital with all the parts except for the main electric part. so you might be able to get the kit from medela website or the hospital and buy the other part used if it will save money. I hope that made a little sense. Good luck!
I never really liked the sling for myself, but love my bjorn carrier.

I made a sling like that for Sophia, and liked it, but once they get too big, it hurt my back too. I think I want to buy one like that for this baby, I don't have the desire to do too many projects right now! I LOVE my sit n stand. I would with out a doubt get one. Then when you have 3 kids, you can still use it, like I am going to have to! It is bulky, but even the double strollers are bulky. And I HATE pumping...so no advice there! I guess my advice would be to give him formula:)
