Happy 4th of July! We had a great weekend. Erik and I went out to eat and we also saw The Proposal-which we both loved. It's not just a chick-flick, so I highly recommend it. And I LOVE Ryan Reynolds. I have loved him since he was in Van Wilder.
Saturday I went shopping with my mom and sister at Gateway, then we took the kids to Erik's sister Kalani's house to swim and watch fireworks.
And every night we have managed to sneek downstairs and watch a few episodes of 30 Rock (I bought the first 2 seasons on ebay a couple of weeks ago). We are already finished with season 1 and halfway through season 2, I don't know what we are going to do when we finish. We laugh so hard. I seriously love Lemmons & Jack's characters. I have a crush on Alec Baldwin now.
So Jack has been teething already. He's almost 4 months and Kire had 2 teeth at 4 months too. I know it's bad, but I've been letting him chew on graham crackers & some fruit for the past week. He loves it and it makes him feel better. Is it too early to give him a little bit here and there? I'm going to go get some of those teething crackers, any other tips?
And Kire has a cute little girlfriend "Silla," (Priscilla) our cute little neighbor. She's a kick in the butt like Kire. Neither of them are shy and they pretty much talk non-stop. Sometimes I think he gets along better with girls because then they don't fight 0ver the same toys.

Skye, I first need to tell you that I LOVE your hair. I always look at Mia's hair and think how much I would love to have mine like that, but I've never had hair that short and it makes me nervous. It looks so great on you though that I might just take the plunge. Also, your eyeliner looks fabulous! I need to do something like that. Since becoming a mom, getting ready is a pain in the butt. And finally, you asked me a while ago how I knew Melissa. We were in the same year in the hygiene program. She's a riot. I love her to death and is seriously one of my closest friends.

2 teeth already- that is crazy! I don't think it is bad that you give him food. As long as they can chew it there isn't anything wrong. No tips- teething sucks

I too have the hots for Ryan Reynolds. I hope that doesn't discourage you from allowing Kire to pursue Priscilla.

I think that is the cutest picture of Kire and his GF. I don't think its too early to give Jack a little real food, I would give Aspen chunks of frozen food in those mesh type things. We are back in Vegas now but I really had fun the other day and hope we can keep in touch.
I anal-retentive when it comes to parenting. I say, first foods should not be sweets like fruits n' stuff (I do veggies and meat and I don't have picky eaters). Get some of those teething rings that go in the fridge or just email me and tell me to shut it cause I'll love you anyway. Don't go Lizzin' all over though (maybe you haven't gotten to that episode yet).
Hey Skye, I got your message. You should take Kire. Max was reverent for the most part and I loved having the oppurtunity to tell him a few things about the temple. I explained to him this is where mom and dad go sometimes etc. I have also decided it is a good time to have those open discussions. I really want everything church related to be comfortable for him to experience and to feel like he can have easy discussions with me and Ryan in years to come and I figured every little chance I get I will take.
Anyway, not to go off on that!! But, yes I think you should take him.
