I am a fatty. I gained 45 pounds during both my pregnancy with
Kire & Jack. Plus I still had about 10 left to lose before I got pregnant with Jack. It seemed with
Kire that it really started to come off on its own while nursing, but with Jack I lost an initial 15 after birth and haven't lost a pound since, 7 weeks later. I thought that by chasing
Kire around and nursing, it should come off on its own again, but it hasn't. I must be eating more than I realize, but I am always hungry while nursing. So, I just joined Weight Watchers.
I've also started to do some light exercising, but my boobs "are like watermelons," (that's what Kire says, and they are enormous) and they hurt if I bounce at all; so I'll have to take that slow.
So any advice, comments, motivation, would be welcome : )
I want to lose 40 pounds, which just sounds impossible right now but I will be charting my progress on the blog so I can hold myself accountable and I will be embarrassed to fail.

You are awesome. With Hudson most of the weight just came off by itself. I had 8lbs to lose when i got pregnant with Roo and I think I only lost 10lbs after I had her and then it stuck. Forever.
I think WW is awesome. Go girl, good luck, you'll do great. weights always been an issue with me and so when I foudn that the SB diet worked for me thats what I've stuck too. I used to play soccer and was an exerciser, not so much anymore, but I think walking is the best. just stick them in the stroller and go. Good luck.
We are so in the same boat. But my baby is 7 months old. So I suck. I have like 35 lbs. to lose and I am just finally starting to get motivated to actually eat right and exercise. I have no endurance to run for miles, but I like doing sprints better. Find a dvd you like or a friend to walk/jog with. Get a good sports bra. They have nursing ones. Good luck!
I am also struggling. Although with both my kids I couldn't lose weight while nursing. So I feel stuck in a rut until then. I want to lose about 40 also.
Get a good video that is fun and this is the perfect time of year to go on walks and then that way you can take the kids and get the sunshine. I might do HCG when I am done nursing. Maybe we can do it together.
But do remember that you are absolutely beautiful and just try to be healthy and confident no matter what!
I gained around 50lbs with all three of my kids. I think your body just does it! I can never lose while nursing but as soon as I stop ( I nurse for a year) I loose 10lbs! The best thing for me is 45min of cardio usually broken up and weights. But I just started P90X and wow! I am hooked! If you have limewire you can do it on your computer. It is intimidating but after two weeks Ive lost 8lbs! I still cannot keep up but I am stronger! I still have 20lbs to get to my prekids weight so I know how you feel! Dont give up! You look great to me!
I'm stuck too! I have never been able to loose the last 10 lbs ever since I've started having kids. It's so frustrating! I joined a weight loss challenge to get some motivation and I weighed in on Sunday for our 2 month weigh in and I weigh EXACTLY the same as I did as when I started UGH!! It's very discouraging especially when I really have been trying! Let me know how you like weight watchers. I've been thinking about joining too.
Don't limit your caloric intake too much while breastfeeding, weight watchers is great but might have to wait awhile. Exercise! I need to take my own advice, I've had a potbelly for almost a year now.
9 pm Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays! There's 4 of us ... & it's a fast walk - about 3 miles. You are more than welcome to join - let me know. :)
I'm not very good at giving advice on working out or eating the best, but when I went to WW I had this amazing instructor (or whatever they're called). But she told me that I needed to focus on something positive about my body, because I plateau'd for several weeks. Anyways it took my mind off of loosing weight and I actually got over my hump. Also go to your meetings thats what helped me. Good luck, I hate having to work on body image it blows!
My advice: invest in a good sports bra, seriously. It makes all the differences when you can move around and be comfortable. Power yoga seems akward and hard at first, but you'll notice a difference in weeks (you'll feel taller and the belly shrinks). Also, I don't know what kind of foods you eat, but if you cut down on sugar, diet soda, less salt...this cuts down on water weight and such. Kudos on the 15 pound loss, I'm sure you'll start melting the pounds away!
Well not that I'm a skinny Minnie by any means but when I was trying to lose weight after Aspen (like 6 months after I had her), I tried to eat a protein with every meal. I also tried to eat smaller meals like 6 times a day. I work out 2-3 times a week but mostly just focus on less carbs and sweets and more protein. Give yourself time, when your nursing your hormones are all over the place. Anyways I would really like to hang out when I come thru Utah so we will have to plan something fun.
Girl! My baby is 9months, so don't get me started! You are awesome, I need a little motivation, you'd think that being healthy and skinny would be enough, but its fun to eat and eat and eat and eat...you get the picture. I LOVE my watches, I get so many compliments by the way, everywhere I go, I need your cards to pass out!
Skye I'm so impressed. I've done Weight Watchers multiple times and it always works great...but then after about 3-6 months I loose all motivation and return to my terrible eating habits. Anyway, I think it's the best way to loose weight. It focuses on being healthy and eating right. By the way, I'm totally in the same boat. Well, actually I've lost all my pregnancy weight, but I was the fattest I've ever been when I got pregnant so I have about 25 pounds to go...
I'm totally laughing that Kire notices your giant boobs. I've been wondering what to do with mine too.
You know me and WW. Love it! Sadly, it's a no go when you're pregnant, but after this baby, I'm joining! My advice for really making it work is find good recipes. If you are eating the same foods over and over you'll get so sick of doing it. I have a plethra of good recipes, so we need to get together so I can share.
Losing baby weight is so hard! Well, it was for me! I am so excited to see your progress. You will do awesome!
All's I can say is South Beach. I know you are doig weight watchers and I hear its great but I did south beach the year I got married and I looked awesome! It really helps change your eating habits and the first 14 days are so hard but after that its awesome and you see results so so fast. I am going to do it after I have this baby. because believe you me, I am packing on the pounds! Good luck!
