I finished Mockingjay last night. I enjoyed it, but I guess I was just expecting more.
I was nervous picking it up because I didn't think that it could end well for both Peeta and Gale. I thought for sure Peeta was going to save Katniss and be killed somehow. A friend of mine said she sobbed in the book, but I didn't. The only time I almost did was when Finnick died, he was just gone so quickly and that made me sad. She didn't really have to kill him off. I thought the ending was appropriate and I liked how Gale was just sort of phased out, so he wasn't left heart broken, because I was really liking him in book 2. I wish Katniss would have been nicer to Peeta, she doesn't deserve him, and I could have used more romance.

Your family is so cute! I agree with you on the book by the way. There wasn't enought romance and why did she have to kill off Prim? I was so mad at that point I wanted to just put it down, but of course I couldn't. I'll have to read it again and see if I like it any better. :)

I like that Gale was phased out too!
I like that she picked Peeta... but you are right, she was mean. I am in love with Peeta.
I didn't like some similarities that Katniss has with Twilight's Bella- like the indecisiveness and being oblivious to her looks and not caring that guys like her... what girls really do that when they are pretty???
Anyway, it was good and I am excited for movies! Plus Ryan is reading Catching Fire right now so we can talk about something that we have in common, for at least a little while!
Yeah I want these to be made into movies! I always liked Peeta the best so I am glad she ended up with him. I think I am mean like Katniss and my hubby is so sweet like Peeta so I could relate to that and thought it would be good for her. I thought the whole thing with the war and who became president could have been a lot different too. I didn't feel any resolve with the way those parts ended.
