Christmas

Our Christmas festivities started yesterday afternoon with a visit from Santa to Erik's parents house. He sat each of the grand kids on his lap and gave them their presents from grandma & grandpa. Then he sang songs, let them ring reindeer bells and took off. The kids loved it. Kire actually sat on Santa's lap this time, though he still wouldn't talk to him.
Then we went to Erik's sisters house for more fun: dinner, kids talent show, nativity, and gift exchange. I think the talent show and nativity are great traditions to start, but unfortunately it may be a few more years before the kids are very cooperative.

Last night we each opened 1 present when we got home and my sweet husband got me tickets to Michael Buble` in March! I'm so excited, it's the only thing I really wanted.
This morning the kids woke us up by 7 as usual. It took us about an hour to do gifts. Kire pretty much unwrapped all the gifts then had to take everything out of its box before he moved on. Santa brought Kire & Jack the cutest little red retro kitchen. Both the kids love it. Jack stands in front of it and shuts the door over and over.

I felt a little bit bad because Erik didn't have many presents to open, but he did get this:

He's been driving an old Toyota corolla since we've been married and I'd have to take him to work every time it snowed. We've been looking for something for a little while and I was going to surprise him with this for Christmas but thought I'd better let him drive it before I made the decision on my own. We decided we'd buy the truck if we could sell our car, which we did in a day!

This was such a fun post. All those pictures are just adorable. The presents you all got are so exiting, I love the skull beanie, the red kitchen and I can't believe you got tickets to Michael!!! YAY! And awesome that Erik got a new car- we tried to get me a new car for Christmas, and oh man it was a mess... I HATE car salesmen! We are looking still though. Ryan is going to be super jealous that Erik got a 4 door tacoma. Maybe I just won't tell him! I'm glad you had a good christmas. Now when is the wedding???
