Super Hero Party

Today we had a Super Hero birthday party for Kire who turned 4 (his actual birthday is tomorrow but I have a work party).

I'm not sure if Erik's reaching for me or Jack

When the kids arrived they each decorated a mask & Erik wrote their first initial on the back of a cape. I attempted to sew all of these last night. I wanted to make them double sided with 2 different colors but I gave up after having made 2. I figured the kids wouldn't have noticed or appreciated my hard work so I cut out satin and stuck velcro at the top instead. I did finish one for Kire's present, a double-sided cape, one side batman & the other superman.

I love this picture. kire's just hangin out in between 4 girls.

Then we headed downstairs for some super hero training-an obstacle course consisting of hand weights, a treadmill, tunnel, rocks & a mountain.

Then they devided into 2 teams, good guys and villans and took turns shooting eachother with "webs" (silly string). The kids loved it, but I'm hatin it now.
Upstairs we challenged their x-ray vision by blind folding them and having them stick the S to the superman poster.
And finally the games came to an end when the "Evil Erik" came out with "bombs" and threatened to ruin the party. I'm sad this video didn't capture it, but Kire started crying at the end because he didn't want dad to ruin his party.

Then of course cake & presents. I ordered a plain white cake (after last years horrible cake making attempt) then did the frosting web and stuck in kire's toys.

Afterwards he hung out in this tent and played with some of his toys.
I got Kire a Lego Table I found used on KSL and a set of star wars legos. And he was spoiled by several other toys. Don't be offended if I rewrap your gift and give it to him for christmas, I'm going to try to sneak a couple of them downstairs.

I don't know if I can out-do this party. We had so much fun.

P was wearing her cape yesterday (the day after the party) when I got home from work. She loved it as well as the party. Nicely done.

That party looks like it was a blast, that obstacle course was so creative - I think my favorite was them running on the treadmill!

Looks like fun- I wish we lived closer so we could come. The game ideas are great, so neat of you to do capes and I also love that picture of Kire, I love how chill he is in it too!
